ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE

Content/Document Design  |  Province of Ontario Project

While I was working with the Digital Ontario Government, I noticed that very few of my coworkers had a lot of experience with including accessible elements and design in their work. After approaching my manager, I set out to make a short and visual guide for my fellow workers to have so they could make the more accessible products and services.

In the guide, I outlined basic accessibility knowledge and resources, as well as explaining the importance of making things accessible for all. I then delved into some basic 'do's and don'ts' for creating accessible services. I had previous knowledge and research on this topic from a research paper I had written while studying in Scotland, and also did further research on the AODA and WCAG guidelines while working on this project.

Graphics and layout, not including the icons of accessibility, are my own design, and were created with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
